How Do You Like Them Apples?
A line first made famous by the film Good Will Hunting, serves as both a proud statement and a challenge to the stereotypes that once underestimated him.

Backstory
This piece is inspired by my dad, a former migrant farmworker, farmworker and janitor who spent decades picking apples. Despite having only an eighth-grade education, he sent all four of his children to college through quiet determination and hard work.

His first two granddaughters are following the same path. 🏃🏽‍♀️📚

He passed nearly five years ago, and I often wonder - how he’d like them apples?🍎 🍏🍎🍏😊
