[EN] In Noon Dream, Huỳnh Công Nhớ evokes the hazy, suspended atmosphere of a summer afternoon dream. Against a muted pastel landscape, faceless figures emerge beneath the sweeping branches of a tree, their indistinct forms hovering between human presence and imagined memory. With a naïve, almost dreamlike sensibility, the artist blurs the boundaries between reality and fantasy, evoking the stillness, heat, and quiet strangeness of the midday siesta in central Vietnam. Like a cinematic freeze-frame, the painting captures a fleeting moment in which time seems to dissolve and the dream remains suspended between waking and sleep.

Huỳnh Công Nhớ (b. 1991 in Đà Nẵng, Vietnam) stands out as an art brut (outsider art) artist, endowed with natural talent and a naïve approach that lends a unique sincerity to his creations.
