On aperçoit un espace vide à l’endroit où la photographie a été retirée du mur, à côté d’un autel de style vietnamien sur lequel reposent une autre photo de son mari, diverses offrandes votives et d’autres objets importants.

[VI] Trong bức ảnh, bà Nguyễn Thị Thu được che phủ bởi tấm màn voan, bàn tay bà khẽ đặt lên trên bức ảnh của người chồng Nhật Bản quá cố, như thể ông vẫn đang hiện diện bên cạnh bà. Ta nhìn thấy một khoảng trống trên tường, nơi bức ảnh đã được gỡ xuống, nằm cạnh một bàn thờ kiểu Việt Nam; trên đó đặt một bức ảnh khác của chồng bà, cùng nhiều lễ vật cúng dường và những đồ vật quan trọng khác.
