In this painting Stephen Bach has created another scene that moves the viewer through the painting. The image is not something to be viewed passively, but rather to be traveled through – walking from the foreground towards the beach and sunset in the background. Along the way are two Adirondack chairs (one overturned by the wind) that further entice us down the path.
