This mandala had been in my mind for over a year - a monchromatic artwork that would focus my attention on texture and form, rather than diversity in colour. It was a lot of fun to create and involved using my favourite colour - blue. Freshly painted specifically for this competition, the name of the piece reflects my use of a "Primary Cyan" paint to create all of the different shades of blue that are visible.
