In September of 2007, I made an attempt to hike the John Muir Trail. This trip was cut short by a bitter cold and windy storm. I hiked out at Woods Creek, flushed out with all the other backpackers. This paintng is only a slight exaggeration of my passage across Pinchot Pass at near zero visibility.
