My last stop on the way home from my impromptu "running-away-from-smoke-in-Mariposa" trip, I was a bit burned out on so much painting. Still, I got there early in the morning, early enough to catch these long shadows crossing the land. By the time I finished, the sun was bright and I took a hike. Embarrassed to say, on a short hike I found myself turned around and off the trail, ended up following a wash and x-countrying back to the car.
