Inspired by its unpredictability, this work uses the wind as my ally. Allowing gusts of wind to blow the paper unto my hand, I create quick gestural marks with pencil until the wind releases the paper from its grip around my body. After these marks are made, fibers are incorporated into the work in my studio, responding to the wind's chaos and surprise.
