This was one of the nightmares that plagued me throughout my childhood. I was in a creepy town, standing in a small, dark street, unable to move. The faceless city scared me to my bones: those fading buildings with no windows or doors and not a living soul in sight.
I desperately wanted to run away from the city, and even more so from the creature that was chasing me. I feared it very much, although I did not know what kind of creature it might be. I could feel it coming closer. My heart thundered as the fear rose and the beast stretched its tentacles towards me... and then I was awake, safe as always, tucked into my bed. Sweating from fear.
