Wagner is thrilled to debut this piece to the general public in the Faculty Plus show this month. This very special piece "Glacial Topography", on loan from a private collection and the first time being made visible to the public, was created during the pandemic and purchased before there was any chance to show it. The layered terrains are pigmented beeswax through the unique technique Wagner developed of trapping air in molten wax which fortuitously creates unpredictable geologic-like terrains that match her visual intensions. Lines and symbols act to gauge, frame and chart the activity of movement both above and beneath the surface.
