"Peace in the Valley," inspired by Psalms 23, is the heart of religion for me. We all have dark moments where we feel we can't go on, and there is no hope. A those moments we call on the divine to bring us peace, to help us through. We see the dark shadow from the mountain and the vision of light shining through. This painting is the most profound work in the exhibition with many hours dedicated to refining the expression to glow hope through despair.
