Rae Sheridan, b. 1987 in Virginia Beach. Sheridan's artistic journey began with childhood sandcastles rooted in the vibrant hues of the boardwalk neon signs and East Coast sunsets. However, her move to the overcast skies of Portland, Oregon, in 2017 prompted a transformation in Sheridan's work. In Portland, she found herself compelled to recapture the vibrancy of her East Coast origins, giving rise to her distinctive painting style. Sheridan's art is a deliberate nod to the vaporwave aesthetic, reflecting the beach life that shaped her childhood.
