"’Transient’ is a story about being a military brat traveling to and fro without any roots. There are three books in this series: 'Manhattan,' 'Misawa,' and 'Brevard.' My work has addressed subjects as diverse as the civil rights movement, traditional textiles from various countries, and protecting the environment. I am interested in any topic that can motivate people to empathize with others and think about how their decisions impact others.
I use various printmaking mediums in the artist books I create, such as block printing, relief printing, screen printing, monotype, and letterpress. I love incorporating multiple printmaking techniques and other mediums together. I love how each layer tells a story and creates a pattern in my work."
