Su Kaiden Cho

Su Kaiden Cho is a Korean-American Contemporary artist, born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. Cho's oeuvre reconciles the identity challenges that reflect his life experiences caught between South Korean customs and American mores. Cho's concentrations are painting, sculpture, installation, and performance. Exploration is fundamental in Cho's work, blurring the lines of materials and form, seeking to bridge traditional Eastern Asian art methods and materials with Western art and how this transforms the understanding of the social and cultural clashes as it pertains to race and ethnic identity. Cho is an MFA, Painting and Drawing candidate at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and received his Bachelor of Visual Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts Practices, with emphasis on installation art and sculpture from the University of Colorado. Cho is an award-winning artist and designer for Best of Artist 2021, CS Independent in Colorado and has received an honorary mention for his recent public sculpture through Downtown Partnership Colorado Springs. Cho has exhibited his work in numerous galleries from Loveland, Denver, Boulder Museum of Contemporary Arts, Galleries of Contemporary Arts, and all throughout Front Range and Colorado.
