In addition to her artistic practice, Roberts is actively involved in collective advocacy work. Roberts co-founded WIP Collaborative, a New York-based feminist collaborative of independent artists and designers that undertakes design, research, and advocacy projects. She also co-founded the global collective Feminist Spatial Practices, which is building a participatory online platform for artists and designers that work towards intersectional gender equity around the world.
As an educator, Roberts teaches as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. Roberts initiates many research and writing projects on themes of social practice and design. She guest-edited the volume Log 48: Expanding Modes of Practice, edited the book Tabula Plena: Forms of Urban Preservation published by Lars Müller Publishers, and co-guest-edited Log 31: New Ancients.
