Mr. Miller has taught at Cal State Long Beach, Cal State Northridge, and Pasadena City College, but for most of his teaching career, he was on faculty at Cerritos College, instructing survey courses, as well as classes devoted to electronic imaging and installation/experimental art. During his time at Cerritos, he served as art department chair and gallery director, and received the Outstanding Faculty of the Year award.

Virtual exhibition
"This image is part of a series of renderings I conceptualized employing a 3-D modeling and animation program while being isolated during the pandemic. I thought it fitting to develop my own virtual exhibition for my last faculty show. All of the original artwork displayed in this installation was created digitally and produced for the real world in either a 2D or 3D printed format. However, I chose to take some of my artwork for this project, reimagine it, and place them into my virtual gallery to create a fanciful exhibition I call 'My Magnificent Spectacular Virtual Virtual.'
I construct prosthetic memories as a means to explore the notion of self. I’ve incorporated thermoplastic and biodegradable plastic figurines (self-portraits) and used redacted religious text fragments to investigate this idea for the past five years. These works integrate traditional art-making processes along with an interest in exploring new fabrication methods and materials.”
