About the artist
Deb Herman
Emeritus Professor Deb Herman earned an MFA from Northern Illinois University and a BAE from Concordia University Chicago. She taught art and art education classes as a classroom teacher and tenured professor and chair of the Art Department at Concordia before retiring and moving to the Asheville area. She is a juried member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild and the Weaverville Art Safari. She is also a member of Local Cloth, Inc., located in Asheville's River Arts District, where she occasionally teaches classes when not working in her Weaverville, NC, studio.
