"I make works on paper about memories of home and food. I am interested in how objects and ideas transform through time and memory. What happens to a photograph, a postcard, or a piece of furniture, imbued with memory, that becomes detached from the holder of that memory? How does living with an object or in a space change its significance over time? Through my work I examine the ephemera of decades past in order to reimagine the present and future. I draw inspiration from the imagery and objects that populate everyday life, from advertisements and food packaging to couch upholstery and cabinets, and am interested in the ways they overlap or differ across time and place. Often, my research comes from talking to friends or asking strangers to share memories about meals and home."
