Extinction (From The Deleted World)
Mixed media
From ‘The Deleted World,’ a tarot deck project begun in late 2020.
“'Extinction' delves into the profound themes of loss, transformation, and the fragility of life on Earth. The image encapsulates the stark reality of species facing extinction and challenges viewers to contemplate the consequences of human actions and our role in the ongoing narrative of our planet. This card calls attention to the tag line encapsulating the philosophy of the deck: ‘What is not saved will be lost.’” — Josh Urban Davis
