Brooke McGowen

Brooke McGowen is an artist living in a remote area of Northern California. She paints by squirting the paint directly out of the bottle, spreading it with little plastic trowels and tipping the canvas to allow the paint to flow. Her work is inspired by the surrounding untamed wilderness, including landscapes and figures interacting with nature. Her recent paintings of angry dogs were provoked by the inhuman cruelty of the present administration.
