"I firmly believe that the humans species share common ground even though responses to stimuli are triggered by specific personal histories. That being said, we all (all species) have one thing in common…we share earth. In this respect, I ask the spectator to bring meaning to the images by adding their own personal histories and experiences to the narrative.

Primarily my work is driven by an interest in understanding feelings of solitude, fantasy and love. However, I leave enough playing field for different interpretations."

Jada Fabrizio

Jada Fabrizio's work has been exhibited in museums and galleries, throughout the New York metro area as well as in cities all over the country. Her work appears in a wide variety of publications including Musée Magazine, Split Rock Review, Chaleur Magazine, Pikchur Magazine and High Shelf Press. Fabrizio studied at the School Visual Arts, The International Center for Photography, SUNY New Paltz and the Munson Proctor Art Institute.

In 2020–21 Fabrizio was awarded a residency from the, Eileen S. Kaminsky Family Foundation (ESKFF) in Jersey City, NJ, and began to work on a series of staged landscape photographs. To create these photographs, she built large scale sets and utilized toys or found objects, making good use of her experience with many disciplines, taking the form of set building, sculpture, and photography. Although the photographs are drawn from personal memories and experiences, they are constructed as visual comments that speak to the human condition particularly during the time of the pandemic.

Fabrizio's work can be thought of as documentary, but only if you are documenting a dream or the subconscious.
