Ti fell in love with painting, like most people fall in love with things – by accident. In her youth and adolescent years, Ti nurtured her talent for drawing, crafting and painting. As an adult she dabbled in small projects, but never dedicated herself to art. Thankfully, her daughter suggested one sunny Saturday, that they try painting, and, the love affair was rekindled.
“I know one day can change your life, but the impact of that day has allowed me to truly be myself. I take every thought, every feeling, every word, and I put it on canvas. I discovered that as an artist, I must allow my words to become transparent visually, to free my voice. Challenging myself to share conceptually opens me up to really saying something meaningful.” -Ti Webb
Using lessons shown, but unspoken by her father, a talented artist and poet, Ti learned the recipe for making real art.
Her love of color, texture, and the unexpected are constant themes in her work. She challenges herself to create without thinking, to close off the conscious parts of her mind, and allow art to flow naturally. It is in these moments she believes we are truly present, and can share deeply and create our best.
