Sasha Winchester is a Brooklyn-based photographer who has built a body of work exploring notions of identity, perception, and the subconscious. Her photographic art merges surrealism and abstraction to convey emotional landscapes and hidden facets of the human experience. Raised in NYC as a first-generation Russian-American immigrant, she found escapism in fantasy and imagination growing up. This manifests in her dreamlike photographic portfolio, which fuses feminine surrealism, organic formations, and repetitive form. Sasha studied photography at Drexel University and is currently developing an intimate series of imaginative self-portraits as an artistic means of self-exploration and trauma processing.
