Shizu Homma is a multidisciplinary artist. She has a AAS from FIT, BA and MFA from Lehman College, and started drawing and painting at about age 3. Between 1997 and 2015, she was active as a dance artist. In 2016, when she was incapacitated due to untreated childhood injuries, she started maiking collage, poems, and performance/conceptual art. She started making collages in 2020 during the pandemic. She is an avid fan of the combines and collages by Kurt Schwitters, Hannah Hock, and Matthew Rose, Max Ernst, Hans Arp, and Robert Rauchenburg.
