Katie Swan is an artist and educator currently living and working in Kansas City, Missouri. She received her MFA from Mills College in Oakland CA in 2019 and a BA from UCLA. She has a disciplined history in athletics including throwing discus at UCLA and attaining her 500 HR E-RYT in Yoga. She has managed and created many community art spaces and has a huge heart for engaging her communities in the arts. Her work is ephemeral in nature and highlights the fragility of the body by means of photographic documentation, time-lapse video, text, and the ceramic objects used in ritual performances.
