In 2010, she received Grammy recognition for engineering work with Chrissie Hynde on the Blind Boys of Alabama Grammy winning "Go Tell It On The Mountain" album. In a long recording career Gardner has worked with some the most successful recording artists and bands today, among them Neil Young, Van Morrison, Stephen Stills, Elvis Costello, Chrissie Hynde & The Pretenders, Joe Jackson, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Gary Moore, Deep Purple, John Legend and The Cranberries to name just a few.
Her series Obscura™ begins with photography . It is visual storytelling in different formats. "Using different skills and disciplines that I have mastered over the past 3 decades, has become who I am". She creates her art by collaging together her photographs.
In recent years, Gardner has been creating a huge body of work that includes printed visual art, storytelling, books, scripts, wearable art, sound, and music.
