I was born in Traverse City, MI, in 1984. I grew up with a brother and two parents who always nurtured any kind of creativity in the house. From a young age, art was a very prominent force in my life, and I was given all the tools to explore it—markers, crayons, and then pastels and paints. I studied art at Michigan State, where I began painting with oils, and it’s been my preferred medium ever since. Through art, I have tried my best to explore what lives in my soul, and that exploration has taken me to many places around the globe and through all the ups and downs of life. I’ve shown my work in Michigan, Oregon, Illinois, Rhode Island, North Carolina, and Arizona. I’m currently represented by Gallery Cor and Resurrection Gallery in Asheville, NC. I had a studio at Riverview Station in Asheville from 2019 up until Hurricane Helene hit in 2024. I’m currently painting in a canopy in my driveway until Riverview Station opens up again.
