Eric Burns is an artist and musician based in New York City. Growing up in Prescott, Arizona, Burns studied jazz improvisation with master potter Heath Krieger, which led to a rich musical career on the East Coast. His sense of structural aesthetics spread into the visual dimension in 2015 with his abstracted calendars, an extension of his work as a composer and arranger using shape and color rather than pitch and rhythm to create meaning in the passing of time.
His studio practice centers on designing and hand-crafting pieces based on important dates in the lives of his clients while he maintains a presence on the music scene, touring far and wide with Kaleta & Super Yamba Band.
