My work is an active practice of abstracting and imagining new worlds. In the creation and exploration of these fantasy landscapes, I pull inspiration from fluidity in nature, surrealism, and symbolism to craft a visual vocabulary, and work through feelings. Similar to how a child’s play is used to process and grasp their surroundings, I use this in my work to model and reimagine: Deflated dreams as an act of practicing failure, and failure being the opportunity to challenge the status quo and imagine new queer landscapes My relation to humanity through all its messiness, contradictions, and mundanity A celebration of nuance, acceptance and praise of the bodily.
