Cheyenne Avila is a Black and Mexican-American curandera-hoodoo, poet, multimodal collagist, performer, and failure based in San Diego, California. She holds her MFA in Creative Writing from UC San Diego's experimental, cross-genre writing program. Her work has been rejected from such prestigious publications as Kenyon Review, Black Warrior Review, and Rattle. She hopes to continue making unpublishable work.
