Azita Mireshghi is an American-born Iranian metalsmith, studio artist, and curator based out of Santa Monica, California, where she was born and raised. Coming from three generations of blacksmiths, she obtained her Master of Fine Arts in Jewelry and Metal Arts in 2016 and has a deep-rooted connection to Iranian culture and art. Her work in general explores emotional reactions caused by adornment.
Azita’s current focus is creating art that addresses social justice issues, while making wearable pieces that are process driven through her examination of texture in metal.
