Danielle O'Malley

American

Danielle O'Malley (USA) builds monumental sculptures with clay and upcycled detritus. Her work underscores the dangers of our eco-crisis and advocates for an anti-colonist approach to our eco-emergency. O'Malley received her MFA from UMass Dartmouth. In addition to her studio practice, O'Malley is an adjunct teacher, arts administrator, grants recipient, and grants panelist. O'Malley's selected exhibition museum credentials include: Taoxichuan, China; Canakkale, Turkey; California; Colorado; and Utah. She has been published by: Ceramics Monthly, The Surace Design Association, NCECA, and Studio Potter. O'Malley has attended residencies at: the Yellowstone Art Museum, Watershed Center for Ceramics, the Paris Gibson Museum of Art, Red Lodge Clay Center, and Open AIR. O'Malley's work is in permanent collections at: Canakkale Ceramics Museum, Taoxichuan Art Center, and Northwest Art Gallery.
