Clear BlueOil on canvas, 122 x 92 cm (framed)
“Clear Blue” is a contemplative immersion into the cool, mysterious heart of a lily pond. Swathes of indigo, cerulean, and violet create a sense of tranquil depth, while a soft veil of vertical reflections evokes the quiet drama of light filtering through mist or memory. White water lilies emerge gently from the surface, like whispers rising from below, their petals catching glimmers of sky and story.
Painted as part of Cheryl Willcox’s Lily Pond Flow exhibition, this large-scale oil painting captures the meditative beauty and emotional resonance of water. The surface seems still, yet alive—holding movement, reflection, and silence in equal measure.
This work was previously sold to an overseas buyer, but due to the high cost of international shipping, it returned home—perhaps waiting for the right collector to discover its quiet magic once again.
