Paintings created using tools often associated with printmaking.
I did a series of small studio works recently that were both challenging, fun, and somewhat outside of my normal comfort zone. I let go a bit of the hard representationalism that I do most of the time, and experimented more with textures and a more purely emotional response to the nominal subject and the paint itself. I love the contrasts of the landscape in late winter, and this piece is pretty much just a meditation on that.
