Monument to Randall Jones (1881-1946). Brass applied to stone. Inscription: :"In memory of Randall Lunt Jones 1881-1946. Student and explorer of scenic wonderlands. With visions of sharing his treasure with mankind, ne made his dreams come true through the development and perpetuation of Zion, Bryce Canyon & Grand Canyon (North Rim) as national parks, & Cedar Breaks as a national monument. He invited the world to come into God's great gardens. Dedicated Sunday, Sept. 29. 1948. Cedar City Chamber of Commerce, National Park Service (Dept. of Interior), Union Pacific Railroad Company. UP Old Timers club No. 12 of Salt Lake City, Utah Parks Company."
