This collection is under constant revision and represents works of public art in Iron County. That is, art in public places. It is made available through the efforts of the Iron County Public Art Commission and Cedar City Library. It generally excluses structures, monuments, and architecture.
Southern Paiute People (The)

Large boulders etched with images paying tribute to the Southern Paiute people were recreated under the Paiute history and language committee, and then dedicated to the library, tying southern Utah’s rich native history to Cedar City's present. Not original rock art. Unmarked stones were located near Rush Lake and transported to their current location. Applied rock art is a representation of Native American rock art. This piece is not in violation of federal or state law.
