Presented to Parowan High School in loving memory of our parents, Robert L. Halterman and Butella Rasmussen Halterman, lifelong residents of this city, and to acknowledge their contribution to our country during the war years of the mid Twentieth Century. Let it be noted that the contribution of which we speak are the years of unselfish military service given by family sons when call upon to do so, including one son having made the supreme sacrifice. These were brothers who were educated, guided and trained by a strong, competent cadre of teachers and administrators of Parowan schools. May this bronze sculpture forever reflect our love, admiration and respect of our parents and also affirmation of a wonderful and caring group of teachers, without whom we would not have as many of the successful citizens we have in our society today.
