This collection is under constant revision and represents works of public art in Iron County. That is, art in public places. It is made available through the efforts of the Iron County Public Art Commission and Cedar City Library. It generally excluses structures, monuments, and architecture.

Sculpted by Stanley Q. Johnson (1939-2017). Life-sized bronze sculpture of Paulina Eliza Phelps Lyman ("Aunt Pliny"), Parowan's first doctor and midwife, standing erect with medical bag in hand. Mounted on a single stone base. The site was dedicated on January 13, 2007.

The plaque at the feet of the statue reads as follows:

Wife of apostle Amasa Mason Lyman "Aunt Pliny" was Parowan's first doctor and midwife, she was sent by Brigham young to care for the Parowan pioneers. "Aunt Pliny" was a woman of great faith, one whose testimony and resolve blessed the lives of thousands. Under the direction of a living prophet she dedicated her life in service to her fellow beings. This beautiful statue also honors all the other brave pioneer women who helped settle this area.

Commissioned by the Parowan Heritage Foundation designed and created by artist Stanley Johnson.
