Lydia Hamilton Brown - Adjudicator Bio
Lydia Hamilton Brown received her education at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts earning a Certificate in Painting in 1973 and returning to earn a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in 2014 and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in 2016. She worked as the art director for Haddonfield Child Care as well as art teacher for St. Cecilia’s School in Pennsauken, New Jersey and St. Joe’s Pro Cathedral School in Camden, New Jersey. Ms. Brown’s awards include a fellowship in painting from the NJ State Council on the Arts, two Artists in Education grants from the NJ State Council on the Arts, a recognition award from the Camden Co. Cultural and Heritage Commission and is represented in the Commission’s collection. She is included in many private and museum collections and has exhibited throughout the United States. She is currently represented by Cerulean Arts in Philadelphia PA. Ms. Brown worked as Program Coordinator for the Camden Co. Cultural and Heritage Commission. She also assessed and cataloged the art collection owned by Camden County. Lydia Hamilton Brown is currently Vice President of the Alumni Council of The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
