Inspired by the poem “Whippoorwill” by Peter Schjeldahl, this drawing was created to explore the relationship of the individual amidst the whole. While humans exist under an individualist mindset, nature functions as a whole. When you take one individual out of its context, you may think you have a clearer picture of what it is but you miss out on the mysteries of how it interacts with the whole picture.
