"Thunderhead" is a 16"x20" acrylic painting on canvas. This painting was inspired by a photo my sister took of the sun hitting the billowing clouds behind her house. I loved the dramatic shape of the clouds rising above the Missouri landscape. I started with a warm underpainting and layered the sky and land on top, using a variety of brushes for shapes and details.
