Sanctuary features a a red wolf observing a moth in a wildlife refuge with other native species featured in white outline. The landscape is inspired by a North Carolina wildlife refuge where endangered red wolves live. On the sides of the canvas are vintage dictionary pages with words that connect to the painting. This piece is part of a series I have created on endangered species and their ecosystems.
