This piece is an exploration of structure, duality, and the natural urge to expand beyond imposed limits.
Constructed from meticulously twisted copper and darkened wire, the tree represents a balance of opposites. The bright, reflective copper catches the light, symbolizing vitality and growth, while the darker wire provides the grounded, structural shadow. Together, they braid into a singular, resilient trunk before fanning out into a delicate canopy. Despite the juxtaposition of the light and dark, this tree shows its true resilience by springing forth life from all of its branches.
By mounting the tree within an open, glassless frame, the artwork deliberately rejects traditional boundaries.
