This painting is the third in a series titled "Perspectives on Grief, Loss, and Hope" which I began painting after the death of my husband of 37 years. All three paintings feature celestial pathways, portals, and orbs, which represent souls. "Finding Beauty Again" incorporates brighter colors to represent healing and coming to terms with great loss. The upper two thirds of the painting feature bright colors, pathways, and joy, while the lower third shows the struggle of one reaching for that beauty and joy, but still encumbered by grief.
