**Cowboy Camp**
Inspired by a camping trip near Hagerman Pass in Colorado, *Cowboy Camp* captures the beauty and solitude of the high country—rushing mountain water, wildflowers, evergreen forests, expansive skies, and the crispness of the alpine air.
During our stay, two cowboys on horseback happened upon our camp and joined us around the fire. As we shared stories, they spoke with a deep knowledge of the land and its history. Their presence transformed an already memorable place into a story I wanted to preserve through my art.
This painting is a reflection on the unexpected encounters that become part of our memories—the beauty of a landscape, the spirit of the West, and the stories carried by those who know the land best.
