Part of a series of photographs taken of the ruins of the thermal baths in Herculane, Romania. These crumbling, abandoned palaces harken to a distant age of opulence and excess. Built by the Austro-Hungarian emperor in the 1800s, the spa is now empty, and falling pray to the forces of nature, weather, and neglect.
