To Let Be Revealed considers the negotiation between concealment and exposure: what we protect, what we choose to reveal, and to whom. The work reverses the act of looking, considering the distance between how one sees oneself and how one is seen by others. In doing so, it asks what we project onto the Black male image and whether we can witness and understand his full humanity.
