I often see cyclists in our neighborhood, many riding solo and a few riding together. This painting started when I photographed a neighbor approaching the stop sign. I decided to give him some friends who were anxiously awaiting his arrival.
Since improved bike paths and the emphasis on greener commuting made me think they were meeting on their way to the office. I needed to brighten up the winter scene and decided to have them dress in a primary color triad.
