Inspired by classical masters, Bahadori uses his unique contemporary abstract juxtapositions, bending perspective and subverting realism. The artist completed this during the 2023 Christmas holiday. “At this time of gift exchange, many have little to give or receive, and many have doubts about who to give to and expect,” Bahadori says. He leaves the interpretation to the viewer. With figurative morphs and a Venetian Scaramouche mask on the top left, the narrative is left obscure.
