Light Space and Time's Spring/Summer exhibition "Created in Isolation" includes "Old Passes Before Young and "Pent-House Pansies" in Special Merit of Photography and Digital Media category.
"Old Passes Before Young 2020" is inspired by the loss of my 15-year cat companion, Ricochet, and the renewal in life in new little Isobel, shown in the image. The black and white symbolizes a time of loss and grieving, but Isobel herself brings her own joy.
"Pent-House Pansies" is a compilation of the beautiful pansies that bloomed in my garden this spring while I was ill. I am a photographer by heart and when I myself was quarantined for a month for illness I did come out to my garden a couple of times to satisfy that artistic itch--to enjoy my little corner of life.
